Many new business owners are tempted to use their own personal funds for their business, which will not only impact your cash flow, but could potentially get you in trouble with the IRS as well. Being able to have and maintain a credit card in your business name also helps build credit worthiness for your business, which will really come in handy should you need a small business loan anytime in the future. The more established your business is, the more money you should be able to obtain, and the lower your interest rate will likely be.

Even if you don't plan to use a credit card anytime soon for your business, it is still a good idea to have at least one, if no other reason than to have some backup funding on hand, should an unexpected situation arise.
